The exact same thing & scam as the other 2 comments. My computer froze and a voice was saying that my computer had been infected with a serious virus allowing overseas scammers to access my private details and that I had to move quickly to remove. I asked the same questions as above; 'where are you situated...replied Sydney' and that they were an Independent Technical support company' who provides AVG security software. Asked for over $500! To fix! This is definitely a SCAM! Please do not get sucked in. Be aware people!!!

the same as the message above! Very rude. I asked them where they were and they said Sydney, so I asked what the weather was like ( to confirm they were actually based in Oz) and he got very rude and wouldn't answer the question. They are a scam company!! Do not call them!

If there is a pop up on internet explorer saying you have a trojan virus that asks you to ring this number, don't bother. It not a trojan it's malware and all they want your details and money. As soon as I asked the people on the end of the line how do I know you are from Microsoft they said oh well you will have to get your computer fixed at a computer store and hung up. Microsoft will fix it for the cost of their security software, or any good security software should do. hopefully you can fix it.
