Third time in a week that people from this number ring to tell me that "I have been selected as the winner of a new Samsung Phone with no costs and no hidden charges and free delivery". First two occasions I told them not interested within seconds and hung up, but on the third occassion I thought I would listen to the whole spiel. Once finished, I told them not to call me again. Will see what happens....

Screw these people. They call up during bloody WORKING HOURS to tell me that "ZenConnect" is giving me a new galaxy smartphone. All the callers have Indian accents, and are in a noisy callcenter/sweatshop. Have hung up on them four times already this past fortnight.

I have now received 5 calls in 2 weeks from zen connect. Every time i have asked them to take my name off the list. And got another phone call today. Spoke to Kevin he put me onto his manager asked for the address of company so i can send a letter to which he said he cant give me the address. Please tell me what company does not have an address?? I then asked for his managers name and could not give me it cos they dont work weekends and to call back on monday and he will put me through to them. I fail to see why there are so many complaints and they are still in business. Thinking of ring television show to stop all the harassment.

multiple calls from this number over the last week. first time i said no thanks, received multiple more missed calls from them again the same day so i registered my number on donotcall.gov.au. Today again received calls, asked caller for his name as I was going to make a complaint because my number is on the do not call list and he got very angry and called me a liar. The person from this number keeps calling a number of our interstate truck drivers during fatigue breaks and disrupting their sleep. Calling and hanging up multiple times. This could affect their fatigue levels for their next driving shift.

I have received numerous calls from this number over the past few week. I attempted to call back on several occasions but it just rings out. After reading the numerous complaints against this number on various websites I know not to bother any more and have simply blocked the caller. I hope that something is done about this, not everyone has a block caller function on their phones. Also if they have my number what's to stop them from harassing me in other ways. I shouldn't have to change my number because these people have secured private information. If they've done it once they're likely to do so again.

I enjoy when they call me. My aim is to keep them on the line for as long as possible. Longest I have kept anyone is about 45mins and shortest is just over 2 mins, they hung up on me when I started asking them questions. I even had one guy tell me he was Allan Jones so naturally I asked him if he was the real Allan Jones from 2GB - GLORIA and how lucky I was to win a prize :).

They just scammed my wife. We now have a great new Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo phone and they will not be getting one red cent from us. They have called back and offered to supply a COD service to send back the phone to Brisbane. The guy was in Calcutta I told them it was going up on eBay tonight and go and get themselves well and truly f****d.

I had a call from this number today. I answered but nobody spoke then it dropped out. I did hear some background noise, like somebody sitting in the call centre nearby, somebody else said "I'm calling from..." but I couldn't make out the name of the organisation.

Just reading the complaints for this number. I have received two calls from this number trying to flog off a new Samsung phone. I have purchased a prepaid sim card from Telstra in the last month. Just wondering if there is a connection to the prepaid sim card and this mob knowing my number - somebody in the know should look at this possibility. These people rang me today have no idea how they got my number, i missed the first call then they rang again about 6-30 pm tonight.
Tryed to tell me that i had good credit and i was selected for a free mobile phone i said how could it be free if its going to cost $54 dollars a month for 2 years thats not a free phone .
Asian sounding lady i told her i already have a good phone didnt want another one thank you bye.
These people are breaking privacy laws and being very annoying and persistent , they need to be stopped , especially with all these complaints.

I recieved a call today (after i told someone last week to remove me from the database) and the guy was very rude and hung up on me. It sounded like he was callin gme from a busy shopping centre. I have emailed Zen Connect directly advising that i will be taking this to the ombudsman if i recieve any further phone calls. I also registered my number on the do no call register.

I got a call from this number earlier and the guy rambled on in a thick indian accent about something on the lines of winning a phone and when I asked how he got my number, he said my service provider.
I asked what he wanted from me and he started his verbal abuse, yelling out 'I said yes? when he was rambling on and now I'm asking what he is calling for?'
I said its difficult to understand with his accent and he retorted with 'Your accent makes it hard too'.
Ridiculous how I'm getting an abusive call like this for no good reason.
Does anyone know if we can make a formal complain about this dodgy ZenConnect company and how they can get fined for harassment calls?

I've been getting calls from this number for teh last two weeks. At first I called them back but the number rings out.
When i finally picked up and figured it was a telesale I told them to take me off the list and stop calling me. They have called me twice today.
I have now blocked tehm on my phone, but knowing this type of thing they will just get a new number and continue to call.

I have received 14 calls from this number since 7th June. On the four occasions that I was able to answer the phone I was told my number had been selected to receive a free phone. When I questioned how he got my number, he just said it was selected. I told the person to stop calling not interested as this is my work number. The last time I answered I told him that his is the 14th time they have called and that I am not interested. I hope this stops now! I was also not able to provide a complaint on their contact page, it stated not able to perform this action!

I asked for call reference and ABN and was denied and referred to www.zenconnect.com. I have now blocked their number on my phone. These people need to be stopped.

A man (whose name I can't remember) said they were giving away a free phone and that they had already given away a free phone to some of my friends and then he actually named 4 of my friends. I hung up as soon as I figured that somehow these people had done their research on me and knew my friends names.

It's the first time I got a call today from this number. I asked who they were he replied "Zen telecommunications" I asked how he got my number he rattled on some rubbish in indian I couldn't understand! ! Again I asked him how he got my number!! First I got a miscall from this number at 11am. Then they called me again about 330pm which I answered and it was very odd. I say hello and no sound came from the other side I said it twice and then suddenly all noise in the background like if it was a busy shopping centre then a guy in a very difficult English with a Asian I believe Vietnamese accent said he was from something blah blah how are you today?? I didn't understand so I ask "are selling something??"" he said I'm saying bye bye I just hung up quite annoyed. That's so strange I wonder what's the point for them to call if they know most of us hang up?? could they steal anything during the seconds of this call? And most importantly what can be done they should no be allow to disturb people's life.??

Received a call this evening on mobile from "Zen connect" offering me a free samsung galaxy only $54 a month for 24 months plan. Caller had an Indian accent.
Frankly I love these calls as my goal is to keep them on the phone for as long as possible (therefor saving some other individuals from the scam!)Trick is to sound interested in the beginning then move the conversation onto my pet dog- "Oh excuse me my dog has just peed all over the carpet or my dog has just stolen my dinner will you wait a minute" -Have been able to keep them holding on for up to 10 minutes before they give up :)

I suggest that everyone that has complained about this number. Call the number at random times through the night (from 12 am onwards) don't forget to hide your number first.

This morning I had a very noisy answer then hang up call from this number.
Tonight I had a cold call from "Nancy William" (which is a very common name in India, I'm sure) representing "Microsoft windows service department" (who never cold call) asking me to boot my computer (which was already on) to see if it was running slow (and it's blazing fast, baby!) because there's "been malware coming from it causing trouble in California".
The background noise was extremely similar and "nancy" claimed to be based in Brisbane so I'm guessing it's the number of that scammer team.

I received a call today (2:40pm EST)offering free telephone. I asked for full company name, address and telephone number. The lady put me through to the Manager who advise me the company name as Zenconnect, and web site www.zenconnect.au. Both callers had overseas (Asian) accents. I then asked questions about the product and was put back to the lady. I was advised something about a 24 month contract (not a free telephone.
I asked how she got my number (it was a Telstra number), she said it was in her database and would/could not offer anything more. I said I am going to report the number, she offered to remove my number from her data base, I said I was still going to report. She then hung up.

Hey everyone,
They are definitely a scam, if someone calls offering you a plan please please always ask for an ABN I they aren't willing to advise you on what it is it's almost always definitely going to be a scam.
I called them back after reading comments on this on a private number and I can guarantee you it's a fraud. The lady I spoke with apparently had my number on file even though I'm with a completely different phone provider and always have been.
Also as soon as I asked for an ABN and mentioned fraud is a federal offence she soon was calling me a scammer which makes no sense what so ever since I wasn't the person asking for money all I wanted was verification that the company exists.
Also when you do receive promotional calls they will always call in a private number to prevent people from callin them back as they have to meet their sales and don't have time to talk to people who aren't interested .

I keep getting calls from these people and they keep lying about who they work for and they dont take me off their call list even when I explicitly request them to. Surely this is against the law.

I received a phone call from this number not very long ago. I didn't answer it, of course, since I'm only 15 and don't answer unrecognizable phone numbers. It's pretty obvious telemarketers still exist nowadays, and it is really getting on my nerves.

I have received numerous missed calls from this number. Try to call it and there is no answer. Very frustrating. What is even more frustrating is - why is there nothing authorities can do? Why does there need to be money lost before anything can be done. These calls and the callers are clearly a nuisance (often abusive) and nothing can be done about this. Can someone please advise as to where we can report situations like this.

I have been getting calls from this number for a few months now. They have offered me a free phone and when I have replied that I'm not interested they always question "why?". Super annoying as I don't really feel as though I have to justify myself! Then when I am asking for them to take my number off their call list, they hang up on me mid sentence - I guess so they can say I have never asked to have my number taken off!

Received call third time, the guy started introducing zem connect and I simply started talking in a foreign language, the guy says, sir can you speak english, and I continued to ignore his request for 'english', he disconnected the line :D

The phone which they called me on is my Optus phone, & I haven't given my number to many people. So I think it is an internal Optus thing, where they must've gotten my number from Optus directly.
I understand that if you lodge a formal complaint by calling your telephone service provider, then they can do something about it, in the mean time, we all suffer!

A guy who said his name was Simon who worked for Optus rang me this evening. He said a freind refered him to me. He was offering me a new deal if I changed phone companies. When I hang up, he rang back and became very abusive. He used very graphic language.. I have rang Optus to make them aware that their name is getting used for fraudulent purposes.

Was phoned by this number today at 4:40pm. Answered and there was a slight VoIP connection pause, followed by a call center sounding background. The caller hung up before speaking. No answer when I tried to phone the number back. Further searches suggest it's a mobile phone plan scam

This number has been calling me for months now. When i first answered and they told me about how i'd won a phone i tried to stay on the line,i knew immediately it was a scam, but I could hear other foreign voices in the background calling others about the exact same "winning of a phone". The last time i answered i asked how i could get rid of them.. they immediately hung up. But they still continue to call.. so frustrating!!!! I hope no one falls for these scams. Terrible things they are doing to good people.

I thought something was funny after trying to call 07 3638 2112 back - there was no answer. Usually if it is legit, they will have a voice mail informing you of who the company is and what they are promoting at the moment, if interested you can leave your details for a call back.
By the way, I was once scammed out of $4000 from a Queensland company. When the investigators from Queensland flew down to interview all of Victoria's victims they did say to me that they don't know what it is, but Queensland seems to attract all the dodgy businesses.

I've gotten 5 calls within the past three days and, luckily, have not picked up any (after reading these responses, I know I made the right choice). I read that someone here was 17.. I'm 15 and I'm getting these calls as well.

Person called from this number about my sons car accident and to assist him in his injury clam. Told person that my son wasn't hurt and he made no claim. He said its for if he get neck and shoulder pain in the future. He said the people in the other car told him about my son and he wanted info of the other car. I told him to go back to the people other people if he wanted more info about them. We are not claiming. I asked him where he was calling from and he said Sydney. I asked him where he got the phone number from as it is a silent number and he said the motor registry. I asked him a lot of questions and eventually he put the phone down in my ear.

I received a phone call on my Telstra mobile number from some Indian guy a few weeks ago. He tried to get me into a new contract with Optus. I told him I was no longer with Optus and now with Telstra. He hung up. Today, an Indian guy called me from the same number wanting to know if I had received my free handset as yet. I said no and that I had not ordered one. However, if it was free I was happy to receive it. Then I asked if there was any contract and he gave me all the standard guff about what I would get for $59 a month I think it was (he had a strong accent). Then he quickly said it was 24 months. After asking the name of the carrier, he said Optus. This is pretty suspicious as big carriers like Optus are always up-front about where they are from.
I told him I was with Telstra. He then said "so you don't want a second handset then?" and I said no. He hung up very quickly after that.
Don't go near this lot.

Just had a call from the Indian sounding guy asking for my details to get a samsung galaxy delivered to me from Optus, didn't sound legit so I let the phone go quiet and then he hung up and tried to call back 3 times after that in a row, rung Optus and confirmed it wasn't them, have blocked their number since then, stupid tossers.

I have had roughly three phone calls an hour from this number, for the past 2 days. From roughly 9 in the morning to 8 at night. I've answered once and was hung up on. I rang the number back and it rang out once. The second time I rang back they answered, put the phone on the desk (sounded like anyway) and left it there, could here lots of other callers in the background.
I've placed it on the auto reject list and have heard nothing from them since.

Have been calling me non-stop for the last month and a half. Went a week without calls after I told them I would seek legal action if they did not remove me from their list, then the calls started again, would estimate roughly 25 calls over 6 weeks. Twice today alone! Absolutely fed up. Do yourself a favor, block this number, even if they aren't calling you yet!

Have been phoned by these people saying my phone number has been selected in a competition for a new mobile phone. They ask for your personal information and back details. Despite me abusing them and telling them I'm not interested in their scam, they keep calling. Everyday 1-2 times a day all hours for the last week. This happened 6 months ago, with the same exact scamming people, however the number was "no caller id" and I couldn't block it back then. They claim each phone call to be from somewhere different, Telstra or "companies" I've never heard of. 6 months ago they called for 3 weeks straight 2-3 times a day despite my telling them to stop calling this number and I wasn't interested. I have now blocked this number, however I don't doubt they will just call from another number.

I told him I am not interested, as I already have a phone, then he wanted more of my details and I hung up. I have been answering the calls and saying I am not interested, then hanging up. Same here - again and again, during work hours, evenings, now Saturday afternoon. The guy hung up on my when I started to complain so I rang back an let them have it. They reckon they dial random numbers and don't get lists from anyone, but then tell me I will be removed from their call lists. I threatened to lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman and he started with the apologies and assurances, then told me I could cool down now and have a lovely weekend.

My best friend has had several calls from this number. She hasn't answered but continues to call her. If you have an iphone save the number under a new contact called 'do not answer' then add this contact to your blocked contacts in your phone settings. This way they will be unable to connect through to you.

How to Block a number on Iphone IOS 7 - Go to phone app -> Recents->press (i) icon next to the number you want to block->scroll down till you see Block this Caller. Don't let these fuckers harass you.

Got it - These are people that have got your name from a marketing database if you are Pay as you go mobile. They are from India but working for a Australian company, They are offering a cap price plan that apparently beats all others in the market etc etc. Yes it is the typical cold call sale tactic.

As with the last poster. Very strange, missed a call and phoned back form my deskphone. The bloke said he was from a mobile provider which was'nt mine and ask to confirm my identity as I called from my office desk phone. I asked him who he was from again and he put the phone down.
Then I have received one more missed call about four hours later on my mobile. it seems very very dubious!!

I can very easily make it out by their accent that they are asian.

I answer a call from this number today (thinking it was a number I recognised from someone I was awaiting to call me back).
The guy on the other end of the phone only identified himself as from my 'mobile package unit'. When I asked him to identify himself again he said the same thing with no reference to a company I recognised. When I started to say I was not able to continue the phone call he hung up before I had even finished my sentence. Very odd call. I feel like he was either trying to verify numbers as being a real phone number or get some personal information from me under a false pretense.
