this company rang and said they were an arm of Telstra that was looking after residential customers. They spoke for 15 minutes while I looked them up and I asked why if they were telstra did they not contact me through usual channels. They did not know my date of birth as the one I gave was false and they did not question it. I said that I felt they were another provider and I was not interested and was expecting an important call and had to go. I hung up and they rang me back and asked what happened, I said I wasn't interested and they said they wanted a good reason! I was speaking to Mack and Carl (supervisor) who both gave job numbers but would not give me a phone number for the company

Wwe get calls daily 5 times in a row.inspite of us outing them as a scam. They still continue to call. My last phonecall i asked the them outright why they were calling when we were clearly unintetested and was told that it was going to b the last call. I was particularly concerned that they had access to much of our personal information and at the stsrt ssid they were affiliated to telstra but when asked further admitted that they were an independent conpany.they also kept deviating when i asked them for a contactable number which made me highly suspicious. To top it off when i tried to cut off the conversation and said my goodbyes.i got a call back telling me off for hanging up on him.we have tried the soft approach by listening and they are still persistent.

Yes, they too started by saying they were taking over Telstra's private customers and Testra were keeping the business ones.
All the above stuff for me too. Over 35 minutes and they kept on saying "only two more questions". I backed out, but they've called back twice the same day.

So today this company "sleek tell" rang me up. It all sounded good a great "we will lower your bill, and monthly rate etc etc" As anyone knows nothing like that comes for free In this day and age. So I played along and it came to a point where they would play a recording and you have to say "yes". (At this point I hung up obviously). Do not say yes to this, this company has nothing to do with telstra (call confirmed) and are simply another company with inside information on what plan you have , abn etc etc. Clearly telstra has a few of these Indian scumbags on the Inside leaking Information out about everyone for a quick buck. Solution? Just make your number private to stop the spam for a mere 2.99 a month OR block the numbers at Do Not Call Register. What they are doing Is Illegal and fraud signing under duress. Telstra please run a check on where your Information Is being leaked to overseas Indian companies. Oh also for the fun of It the guy "Peter" said he was in association with telstra (I recorded him) When you actually ring the company (they cannot lie It's illegal) they say they are not LOL WRECKED !
I feel sorry for all the poor innocent people they prey on, please read this before considering getting scammed by these assholes.

Sleektel are out there doing high pressure home phone and internet sales and lying to people on the phone.
This is not acceptable behaviour.
This company bullied out daughter over the phone and encouraged her to change our internet plan, even though the current plan is in my name they told her that it didn't matter anyone over 18 could change it.. They also basically accused her of lying when she told them that our current plan is cheaper.
I have cancelled the plan with them and ask to be removed form their call list.

I have been called today and offered a great deal. I said it sounds great and I will think about it. They were simply pushy, rude and that I sign up today. I will have a 10 day cooling period. They got me by saying Im with telstra for years and we are giving you this great deal. I said I want to think about it and they simply push... he didn't get it that I want to THINK about it. So I had to hang up. I have reported to telstra now.
Company called 'Sleektel'.
They got me by an anonymous line in India which i was then transferred to their manager. I have been getting these calls every day few times but never answered. Today I do and was stuck! Just hang up!

The only thing that worked for me is a loud whistle down the phone (you can get a cheap plastic referee whistle for a couple of dollars from Red Dot Stores, Reject Shop etc). Stopped instantly and not had another call from them for at least six months.

Tried telling them to stop, wasting their time asking questions, putting them on hold, using foul language, and blasting them with an air horn. Why do they keep calling? They also call from a couple of other numbers.

5 calls one day, which my wife answered, then 3 calls 30mins apart tonight which I answered , first 1 to some female Indian caller , second 1 to a male Indian caller, both claiming to have our Telstra bill details and could save us money, I asked how much our last bill was and they hung up, the third call was from Dexter Wood , an English/Australian sounding man to whom I complained of the nuisance phone calls, and he immediately offered to put us on the DNC list, do not call, lets see how it goes from now

I've had these people calling me just about every 15 minutes... claiming to be telstra offering me a better deal... they said I could barony with a telstra shop!!! Such a scam I am feeling harassed and annoyed... what are they possibly achieving by calling people all day???? What pricked up my ears is they use my surname from when I was married... I've been divorced for a long time and use my maiden name... dicks!!!

These calls are simply a SCAM. NEVER give them any of your details! Ask for a phone number to call them back and then check with any agency or business that they represent themselves as about validity of their claim. Get as many information from them as you can. Report them to your local Police.
Today they called me representing themselves as ATO, which I believe is a federal offense, saying I owe $992.00 in "missing transaction". I have checked with ATO and i do not owe anything to ATO. I have reported this to Police and also to Telstra. Telstra has blocked all incoming overseas calls to my number as I do not expect anyone to call me from overseas. I guess police will start chasing these morons. Also it is important to not say YES or OK to anything they say because they might be recording your call and may use your "YES" as confirmation of their claim. Check with your service provider/agent of any service they claim for any changes after they call as they might try to take over your accounts(gas, electricity, phone etc.)

Same as everyone else... calling multiple times per day and won't give up whether we ignore calls or answer and tell them we are not interested. Say they are from Telstra offering a better deal than what we're on but clearly not from Telstra as they actually have no idea about current details of our account. Seriously feel harassed!

I had these bastards call me 3 times in 30 minutes,claiming they will halve my phone bill. Thought it had to be too good to be true. So I told them to bugger off,and I contacted telstra to see if they had been contacting me.they hadn't. But the operator was very helpful and gave me a number to call to take my number off the list.

First they we're Go Fone so they said then when I hung up on them they left messages on my answering machine "come on Carolyn don't be like that" bla bla next week they rang same number but different name Sleektel I couldn't believe it I said no they pushed, in the end they said I would have 10 days to change my mind taking the chance I got the paperwork and rang to cancel.They didn't like it but gave in to me . Funny the next day was phone and connecting internet was disconnected I complained to telestra and they said they would be out to fix it by the following Wednesday it was then Friday and it was connected on Monday morning and it wasn't done by Telstra so Who turned it off and on?

Had 5 plus calls a day from these jerks each time asking them not to call. Found the number belongs to a company called sleektel. I phoned there complaints department and they put me on there do not call register. I also stated they should not be calling me as I am already on the government do not call register.

Also called by these scammers, they got annoyed when I refused to give my date of birth and called again later. They hung up on me when I told them I know they aren't from Telstra. I suggest the following:

If you have a phone that can block their number then do it.

If not then add their number to your phone's contacts and name it "Scumbags" or something similar and assign it a specific ring tone, or even better, a silent one if you can.

Have been receiving 10-12 calls per day for approximately 3 months. Always get the same Indians offering great $50 deals on my home and mobile phone plans. Have spoken to the police on this matter with no real result except their advice to change phone numbers. Have also spoken to, reported and complained to Telstra about these people and their supposed links with Telstra and they have confirmed that they have no link to these people. These people also use an overseas private number to call from thinking that they are smart. These people are rude,abnoxious and down right scum.

The 0386448152 number has been calling our number lately which is a mine site emergency number 10+ times a day. I've told them every time it is an emergency number and that they can't call it. also explaining it is against the law to waste an emergency numbers time and efforts with this kind of stuff. to no end. thankyou for this being here I will call them an if they don't stop then I will definitely be blocking there number. this is just a load of crap. it's not Telstra and I know that for a fact. don't be fooled people!

OK so thank you Gemma who gave the company name and number - Sleektel - actual number is 1300 731 606. I have called and asked to be removed. Told 48 hours. However fingers crossed as they were literally calling once an hour! I also made an online complaint to Telstra directly. https://say.telstra.com.au/customer/general/forms/UNWELCOME-CALLS-INITIAL-ENQUIRY-FORM. I think it is very interesting that they are targeting Telstra customers and Telstra has moved their call centres offshore. Methinks that there is a breach of privacy here. I am forwarding same to the Ombudsman. Telstra need to be made accountable for this.

This number calls our residence at least twice a day and has done so for several weeks now. As others have stated, they claim to be from Telstra offering a $50 plan of some kind. We never allow them to carry out their spiel to know the exact details of what they're supposedly offering. It's a downright invasion of privacy and infuriating. How this is allowed to carry on is beyond me.

I am receiving 6-8 calls a day from this number. I have just registered my number on the Do Not Call Register and have also googled the Sleektel company and rang the head office and ask if the 0386448152 number was theres, the admitted it was. I politely said if they called my number again there number would be reported along with all of the details I had to the Do Not Call Register. I have not had a call for 5hrs now. So fingers crossed! I recommend calling the Sleektel number and speaking to them personally.

yet called my home number, 3 times a day for a week i said to them no i didnt want their plan, over and over it was harassment they tried to push me into joining leaving out the fact that they had "nothing to do with telstra" till the very end of the call after they had gained my trust...
this is a terrible manipulative company with rates that are too good to be true and from the sounds of it ALOT of hidden fees. don't trust them, hang up if they call you... waste of time and harassment to boot.

i'm getting at least 6 calls a day. telemarketers are exempt from the do not call register, so the only way to get rid of them is to change your phone number, which is very inconvenient and make the new number a silent number. Telstra charges $2.93 pr month for that service. I have arranged this for myself today. this is a blatant invasion of privacy

It's the same thing as previously mentioned they say they are Telstra and want to put us on a $50 plan but they are clearly not Telstra. Something needs to be done to stop this harassment!!

Same story as everyone else. I've tried to get iinet to block the number but they just want to charge me for extra services for a silent number. I'm more suspicious of iinet after that. Their only advice was to get on the do not call register. 10 calls in two hours tonight, I've had enough.

Like everyone else we have received 27 calls in total from numbers (03)86442948 & (03)86448152 over the past week.
Today I have made it a game to speak with them creating a different story each time they call. So far I have spoken with Nathan, Kevin, Dexter, Stacey (1st female) and then when I convinced her I would sign up she escalated my call to "George The Team Leader" who I told very un politely where to go. Each call I have told them to remove my number and never call me again. Right now the phone has gone quiet so either they finally got the message or don;t work overtime on Saturday

Yeah for me these guys pretend to be affiliated with Telstra. I get almost 7 calls a day this is beyond harassment. I reported them as a scam because they start the conversation by saying they are affiliated with Telstra and are dropping my monthly line rental cost and it will take affect on my next bill. These guys are trying to scam people into signing up.

I'm at the point I'm about to pull out the landline until the my do not call kicks in.

Telemarketing is one thing but 19 times by the same company in three days!!! So fed up - I did try blocking the number but that obviously did not work. So, if you get a call from SLEEKTEL in Victoria, Australia (supposedly!) from (03) 86448152 or (03) 86442948 - they called me from this number today twice already - beware! They drive you insane and will not take a direct request to remove you from their list. Only option is to go on the Do Not Call Register. Let's hope the telecommunications Ombudsman takes notice of these nuisances.

I received a call from this number, I thought it was from India because they were Indians, What they offer is a plan to pay $50.00 a month and they'll give me the latest Samsung mobile phone as a present for a contract land-line home phone unlimited free calls and unlimited internet using Telstra line with 46 MB/S ((the exchanger is 4km away))and have no NBN yet, then they told me that they will transfer me to sign a phone contract with SLeektel staff and I should only mention to him the home phone not the internet or the mobile phone as well they presented me with a fake business name and ABN for me to use them when SLeektel Staff asks me(I have the prove). anyway I rejected the Idea but still I don't know what exactly could happen if I went ahead but I know it wasn't the right way and someone should do something about it.

Company is called Sleektel - actual number is 1300 731 606 if you wish to contact them. They admit that they are nothing to do with Telstra but have rung because you are connected to Telstra and want to save you money...... If you play along and then tell them that you are already connected to an overseas plan where calls are free (Skype like but non existant - make it up) then the calls will stop. No amount of hanging up stopped the calls but polite, made up conversation did. Good luck

I am being called 3,4 sometimes 5 times a day by this same number asking about my Telstra phone line and telling me they can provide a cheaper rate/better package etc. suffice to say I am not interested and have told them as much, but they don't listen. I want this number blocked once and for all.
