Got a call from this number at 9pm said there was a problem with Telstra - Jennifer - definitely does not seem legit

repeated calls saying they were going to shut down my internet connection. Told them I would report them to Telstra.The lady caller wanted to know what bullshit meant.

I've had 4 calls from Telstra's technical department in about 5 days. I end up hanging up on them cause they are so dodgy. I like to drag out the conversation just to get as much info as possible. Try to tell me my internet's going to be shut down in a few hours. A friend believed them the other week and they took over their computer and caused all sorts of problems. Tell everyone you know! Why isn't this in the news more?

i got a call from telstra they gave this number..in the begining of the call i thought they are hackers and scammers but
they are very good..they fixed up the
issue of my computer...
now a days my computer working like a fire..they are very good...

I got a call from this number named FRANK saying that my computer is hacked..
Is this a real Number or they are scamming us. Guys if you are scamming on us then please stop it... God is watching on you people ;(

An Indian lady rang up and very quickly and alarmingly said in a garbled voice that our internet line would be disconnected the next day as the line was being hacked. I said that we had our own IT people and asked for her name and phone. She said her name was Jennifer from Telstra and the phone number was 02 80051898. Definitely a scam!

They hijacked my computer, said there was a problem with Microsoft certificate expiry. Directed to a western union site to pay for renewal. Wanted me to type in my banks website. I watched the screen as they started dumping program's into it. Said they never removed any files, and said it my was Microsoft. Became abusive and eventually hung up on me after I said they were not authorised to make changes

I got scammed from this phone last night. Again they said they were from Telstra/BigPond. They used teamviewer to get into the computer than hacked my credit card details after attempting to get me to pay using Western Union. Names used were Paul Edwards, Sandy Williams and Eric Wilson giving false Telstra identification numbers. Do not give these people any details at all and disconnect your computer. you can start it again and recover using safe mode.

Got a call. Totally ungenuine.

Pestered me to give him access. Total scam. Will inform telstra.

received a call from someone named eric reporting to be from telstra and my internet was going to be disconnected. when i called him back, after i said something to him he had a very very evil laugh. i have reported this number to both optus and telstra

My mum got a call from them I went over to her house, nothing on the computer called them went through what they wanted her to do, told i wont do that as it would leave her computer more exposed if there was a virus there, they then told me to f*** off and swore at me repeatable, totally NUTS total scam

THIS IS A SCAM!!! Informed me that it was the Telstra Tech Dept, my computer was being hacked and he needed access to correct the issue. He gave me this number so I could call him back.
